WELCOME TO WHITEWYRM REFORGED: A FANTASY RPG

Old-School Feel: The game is designed to capture the feel of old-school gaming while utilizing modern mechanics. No jumping the shark dark elf action here. You can either gain experience through play or opt for experience rewards if you prefer a more narrative-driven game. Whitewyrm Reforged: A Fantasy RPG was designed to revive those old adventures we still talk about, without needing a small library of books.

Quick Character Creation: You get to decide what your beginning stats are so that you can lean into your Ancestry and Archetype (what we call a class). In minutes, you will be playing your character.

Simple Dice Mechanics: The game uses the TN13 system. Players roll a d20 plus their stat die, which can range from a d4 to a d10. Some magical items may even allow for a d12. If the total roll is 13 or higher, you succeed. Don't worry, your archetype or your background will let you add your level to the roll.

Freeform Magic: In the standard game, spell lists are not included. Spellcasters can create spells on the fly, although some casters are limited to specific types of spells.

No Darkvision Supremacy: Sorry, but no ancestry can see in the dark. Bring torches; there's a reason to fear the darkness.

Long-Term Play: The system is designed for both one-shots and long campaigns. Magic items can replace the extensive feat splat books and complex game content typically found in other systems.

Adventurers, Not Superheroes: In this game, players create adventurers who are more than just ordinary individuals, but they often underestimate the risks involved. They may face deadly situations, and while high-level wizards appear powerful, their survival depends on casting spells without rolling double 1s. Hopefully, they have enough hit points to endure the consequences of a miscast spell. Some playtesters would hum "Pop Goes the Weasel" when a wizard miscast.

Quick Combat: Combat is fast-paced, with light rules that provide enough options to keep encounters engaging without being tedious. You can choose to charge or adopt a defensive stance, all without the need for extensive explanations. Say goodbye to four-hour-long battles for a single random encounter!
