Description

This is a Japanese Language item and includes no English components unless noted in the condition note.

In 1333, Emperor Godaigo issued an imperial edict to overthrow the shogunate. In response, anti-shogunate forces attacked and captured Kamakura, bringing to an end the Kamakura shogunate, which had lasted for over 140 years. However, Hojo Tokiyuki, the son of the shogunate's last regent, Hojo Takatoki, had fled to Suwa.

Two years later, in 1335, Hojo Tokiyuki, supported by Suwa Shinto priest Suwa Yorishige and others, raised an army to recapture Kamakura with the aim of restoring the shogunate.

"Nakasendai no Ran" is a two-player game themed around the series of battles that followed Hojo Tokiyuki's uprising in July 1335 (the second year of the Kenmu era). Players take on the side of either Tokiyuki, the leader of the rebellion, or Ashikaga Takauji, who sought to suppress it. The game features many famous warlords from both sides involved in the rebellion. The cards used in the game offer various strategic options, allowing you to fully utilize them.

Players can aim for Kamakura as in historical fact, or pursue possibilities and aim for Kyoto. Take on history from the perspectives of both Tokiyuki and Takauji.
