Character Creation Ruleset - The World to Be

I was born under a fortunate star, into a family of means on the coast. My father was an artisan weaver, and my mother sold arms. My father died when I was still very young and my mother remarried. My step-father was a cruel but successful man, much like my younger siblings came to be.
I was unhappy, and instead of devoting myself to the craft my mother and step-father insisted on for me I spent my time in prayer. They did not approve and sent me to a military camp to practice warfare, no doubt seeing that a soldier in the family would be good for business.
That’s where I met Hecetora, my mentor and long-time friend. Oh the many adventures we have had since that day! The Savior’s light shine upon our meeting!
The two of us went to war together, and once my training was complete I set up my own house, a place where the unwanted could find rest. The local community did not approve, but once the horrors of war laid its long shadow across their door they quickly came to me for help. I am now quite popular around here, and have even started a family.
Recently I came into some money when suddenly, calamity struck. My step-father was murdered, and at the insistence of my mother I have wandered the long road back home to investigate.

This is not where my story ends. This is where it begins.



The World To Be is the character creation ruleset for Lost Roads of Lociam - the Age of the Black Chaimara. In this book you will find the detailed rules for forging the unique background of your character, their past, and all the events that shaped them into the adventurer they are today.

The Lost Roads of Lociam is a fantasy roleplaying game where the players portray characters on the magical world of Lociam, part of a greater story of magic, divine power and the struggle of Order versus Chaos than mortal men can even understand.
