Description

If you want the finest edition of this classic read go no further. The book was designed by Charles Skaggs, the designer and director of art for the college texts of Harper & Row, and he title-page was hand-lettered by Skaggs, himself. The book is set in 14 point Monotype Perpetua, with the page numbers set in eighteen-point Goudy Text, the book was printed letterpress by A. Colish, in Mount Vernon, N.Y., upon a white wove paper made especially for this edition by the Curtis paper company, one of the finest paper makers in USA at the time. The thirty-three inspired woodcuts, eight in color, were done by Felix Hoffmann, and pulled by hand; the color prints were pulled at the Atelier of Buchdruckerei Argauer Tagblatt in Switzerland. The book was bound three-piece style, the sides fabric, a black natural-finish weave, the backbone, cloth, black linen buckram, with the cover being blind-stamped with an image of Dracula himself.

Only fifteen hundred numbered copies were printed, each copy signed by Felix Hoffmann.

The announcement and Monthly Letter of the Limited Editions Club is also included.
