A authentic piece of blood stained floor board from the Sheaffer Farm where General Daniel E Sickles had his leg amputated after being struck by a cannon ball on July 2, 1863. mounted with a bullet recovered from the 3rd Corps Field Hospital in Gettysburg. Sickles commanded the 3rd Corps at the Battle of Gettysburg. General Sickles was later awarded the Medal of Honor for Gallantry. The floor board was removed and replaced. The board was positively tested chemically for blood. General Sickles was commander of the Third Army Corps at Gettysburg. A fascinating artifact from one of Gettysburg’s most colorful characters. Recently featured on the T.V. show “Pawn Stars”. The piece you receive is part of the board that was actually on the show! Certified by curator Erik L. Dorr The bullet was obtained pre-National Park and both are 100% authentic and legal to own. This display comes matted and framed in a Riker display.
