Description

This haunting vampiress appeared in the historic genre defining D&D module I6 Ravenloft, written by Tracy and Laura Hickman in the early 1980's. The artwork was done by Clyde Caldwell and appears on page 29. The piece is beautifully framed and is 6x13.5 inches in size, with an overall framed size of 12x18. It's done in pencil tones with some additional coloring you can see in the close up picture. The piece is in perfect condition and is stunning to see in person, currently hanging in the offices of Noble Knight Games until a new lucky buyer takes it home!

From Clyde Caldwell himself:

"The artwork in question was done as an interior piece for the original AD&D Ravenloft game module written by Tracy and Laura Hickman, published in 1983 by TSR. It is a mixed media piece, mostly acrylic wash & airbrush, with some Prismacolor pencil thrown in. The Ravenloft module in itself was very popular and was followed by a sequel, The House on Gryphon Hill (for which I also did the cover art.) The popularity of Ravenloft grew and became a game setting complete with a boxed set, more game modules, novels, etc. The original module is considered a classic, one of the great gaming adventure modules of all time, and the artwork was highly regarded as well."
