Gilderwood

All villages have tales of who or what dwells in the woods beyond their borders, tales dark and bedeviled by other-worldly beings. At the Iron Dagger Inn, talk is tied to the Baron’s son, coming of age, and being taken away by the Fairy Folk for their own purposes. No one dares to guess what has become of him. Instead, their tales are bound as if by some spell or greed of Fairies as to what reward of treasure would await any who are brave enough to enter the gilded wood and find the lost Noble, and to bring him back. Time has never seemed to matter before. The dark woods have remained unchanged since the dawn of Men. Yet now, every passing hour seems a lifetime to the Royal Court, almost as if they can hear their lost son wailing within the enchanted forest.
