Your Generation - The 80's

The 80's is a game for your generation. The decades... everybody's got a favorite. One that shaped a big part of who they are. One that made them say "Like, totally tubular!" Was yours the 80's? If so, moonwalk down memory land. This is the game for you! We researched the 80's and found what was fun-what was powerful-what was poignant. The 80's may best be described as the "greed decade". We chose style and image over substance. Cable brought us a gazillion channels... and there was still nothing on TV! We worried about things like who shot JR. We trampled each other for Cabbage Patch dolls. We merged and acquired, made a lot of money, shopped 'til we dropped. Then we cranked up "Material Girl" in our Beemers and drive on toward the 90's. Someone said "The point is, you can't be too greedy" ...but we were. In spite of our shortcomings, we stretched our hands across America for the poor and the homeless. We rocked for causes. We watched the fall of the Berlin Wall and cheered the end of the Cold War. Perhaps the extremes renewed our sense of altruism. As the 90's approached, the call for "a kinder, gentler nation" found an audience already waiting.

Here's a quick idea of how to play this game. Buy property. Collect Blocks of Time and trade them in for a Decade. It sounds easy enough, but you may trip over your aerobic bench or have to make an appearance on Tabloid TV. When you break something Break Dancing it becomes a little more difficult and a lot more fun! So grab your token and advance to SHOP. Who knows? You may become a Yuppie... or your hair may be so big you lose 3 turns! Are you looking for a fun way to experience the 80's? DUDE! Like, here it is! For Sure!
